I would send it to you. I think it should maintain the firmware even with the older disc in :dunno: The maps would obviously be off, but the firmware I would think would stay.

I found sights that have the torrents for free. Just need a double layer DVD burner.

What version do you think my 09 had? It is pitiful that the disk is 40 feet away, and I am unable to get to it. Anyway, if it is usable for anybody, I will stick it in the mail.

I'll do some research and try to find out.

It says on the disc. Just go open the nav unit and find out. Common T! I'm sitting on the edge of my seat here.

 I have mastered one flight of stairs with the crutches. I will go for all of them tomorrow and get the number of my disk.

T, open your screen and see what number you have, and we will compare.

The firmware is on the same disk as the map data. There are just certain updates that have a newer version of firmware from the previous along with updated maps.

I really haven't had a big problem with my old 4.1 version so I couldn't justify spending almost $200 vs less than fifty for the 6.0 version. Especially, this close to 2013.

I updated the firmware on mine one time with a disc my dad had and then went back to the data disc I had been using. It worked fine.

That said, I have no recollection of what the version #'s were. :dunno:
