Yeah, my wifi problems just kept getting worse on this ol' laptop

New 1TB Seagate Hybrid, and fresh copy of 7 Pro.

I forgot how nice this thing used to work!

I like the hybrid, so far. Starts up nice and quick.

I guess the old machines just can't get 8 to work reliably.

Man, I am done until this one catches on fire :p

8 works good on the wifey's ASUS that was preinstalled.

I hope this machine lasts a while longer. It was way more machine than I needed when I bought it. I should have not messed with it.

I bought Office Business '13 at at the same time as the new copy of 7, so it is nice to have a full version of Outlook again.

    No more Windows Essentials BS.

Now, the home network has the 500 gb that came with this, and the 180 SSD as the mass storage devices on the router. I cannot believe how many pictures and videos we have amassed. I have spent all weekend cleaning up and sorting through thousands of pics and putting them in folders for everyone to access.

I found 3 other hard drives I forgot I had

Yeah, organizing all the crap can get to be rather time consuming! I have a few terabytes of pictures, videos, movies, music, etc.. I bought a Drobo last year to add in some redundancy and to help me organize things for easier backups.

I tried a cloud backup service. But, every 100 GB or so of uploads, AT&T's router would crap out and I would have to reboot it. So, I gave up on that idea.

    That sucks!

I am just happy to have my wifi running 100% again. Man that was aggravating!
