I remember having the same feelings when they killed off XP. https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/windows-7-end-of-life-guide
Microsoft is shooting there selfs in the foot with this. I have a lap top, and a desk top that have 7. I will not buy a new PC to replace ether of these. Over the last several years, I have and will use my phone, more and more. The answer for me, will be a tablet. My wife already has one. They cost a lot less, and you can do almost anything on a tablet, that you can on a lap top. like with all things, in time, the PC is dying off.
I'll just buy another refurbished one that comes with 10pro. The machine I'm using now is a refurbished one that I bought when XP went extinct. It's an HP that came with 7pro and it's been a good machine.
My laptop at home is a 7 and has been a good OS. We use 10 pro at work at it seems pretty solid too. When we get around to getting a new machine I'd be ok with a 10 pro
All of our machines at work run 7 Pro. This will be fun (again) Somewhere on here is my whining when we ditched the XP platform 10 years ago LOL
I loved XP. Of course I went from w98se to XP. I just don't care for w10, but it doesn't look like I'm going to have a choice but to like it.
That'll be fun when you all migrate to 10 pro. My work did the migration a few years back. It was a pretty steep learning curve for many people since the two environments are so different. Good thing y'all waited til the last minute
LOL yeah, we rock. I don't want to give up my laptop, though! The IT guy accidentally left mine with Admin Rights on it for this big engine app we had to install, and he will figure it out when we make the change! It sucks when you have to call IT because Adobe wants to update...
