Electrical Part Identification

Because I'm replacing all 3 front light sets on my '02 Silverado, I decided to go through and re tape wiring as well as adding new wire loom. I found this piece on the frame in the center of the front in the run to the passenger side.

put it back ASAP. that is the front end SIR discriminating sensor....jostle that little thing hard enough and you will be redoing more than wire replacements.

WOW :eek: The damn thing should be BRIGHT red with warning labels on it. :lol:

Good thing I TRY to practice safety and siconnect the battery when I'm fWONkin' with electrical shiz. :thumbs:

It's back on and the truck is running.:cheers:

Its cool, the dead give away is the bright yellow connector and the large red retainer. All the airbag connectors look very similar to that; it is very hard to actually disconnect the physical connection because that retainer is so hard to remove.

Its cool, the dead give away is the bright yellow connector and the large red retainer. All the airbag connectors look very similar to that; it is very hard to actually disconnect the physical connection because that retainer is so hard to remove.

Yeah well my dumb ass DID have a hell of a time taking the retainer out then putting it back in.

Between him and Scottyboy maybe idiots like me can go into an electrical project without accidentally activating the hidden ejector seat relay button that shoots me through the roof next time I get in the truck. :lol:
