You'll want to look into gen 3 5.7/LS1 cams.

It's not that much work when you get down to it, just popping off the timing cover and valve covers really. The cam lope is cool and all but you can't have a ricer mentality when looking into cams, usually a rowdy cam that has a rough idle is a high RPM cam...or it has a tight LSA. Mine lopes decently.

I changed the cam in my Burb last year,before joining this site.I prolly should got one with more lift a little more LSA.It's better but I was hoping for a little more.The heads are not ideal either I believe...

You don't have to touch the oil pan with LS engines!! Actually there are 2 bolts that thread in the bottom of the timing cover from the oil pan, but that's it. I know on LT engines they have to drop the front of the pan to remove the timing cover.

Yup,and it's a PITA,and I cracked mine,didn't have the pan loose enough.That was a $100 ****-up.

and yeh how about a TR220 for my new truck...i know i wont change it in less than a year,but this cam cought my attintion

The 220 is a good cam Faisal. Your truck has a 5.3 right?

I agree with Steven, I went with a 206/212 115LSA. Didn't lose anything on the powerband and works great with the blower.
