Thought I would post this for everyone to check out. That is for those that have cabin air filters. Here is a cool guide on how to replace your cabin air filter. You will need to know the Wix part number of your cabin air filter. Once you have that you can look it up and it gives you a basic guide on where yours is located and how to accomplish it and the time it should take to change out. :)

If you need to find out the wix part number of your cabin air filter you can look up your vehicle here. This will give you the Wix part number.

I could for my 02 Silverado, which is a Wix 24805, but this is an all make and model site so I figured this would work well for those other than GM. :)

Not sure if I could top what Wix has for mine anyway other than adding my dirty finger nails in with the pictures. :D

They sure don't tell you what a PITA that fucking screw by the center hump is. :fume: Or that the screws for the retention clip are different from EVERY OTHER standard or metric mini socket known to man(that you thought you had) and you will have to buy ANOTHER one.

Or that the two previous owners are fucking morons for NEVER replacing them let alone not doing it every 15,000:loser:

OK in all fairness maybe the above ONLY applies to me and my truck.:rollin:

I can confirm that in my Suburban the screw near the center hump (which is right behind the center console) is a severe PITA to get to. I did't even take it out, I just loosened it about halfway as I figured I'd never get it back in if I took it all the way out. :dunno: Once that screw was very loose and the other 2 screws were out, I could swing down the panel enough to gain acces to the air filter housing. Mine was very dirty as well, probly the first time its EVER been changed. Heres how mine looked compared to the new one.

I have bone to pick about filter reference. Why does it say to use different oil filters on the 350TBI and 350 vortec? The other brands like fram, mobile1, etc. uses the oil filter for both the 350tbi and 350vortec.
