Anybody ever heard of dvd/blu ray movies being edited from Walmart? I know the music is.

I've not heard of movies being edited by Walmart. But it would be possible for movies that are exclusive or have a special version for Walmart.

No clue. I despise Wal-Mart and avoid it at all costs. Just order movies off of Amazon. Pre-orders even arrive on day of release.

There's a lot of info out there about Redbox and Netflix stripping the audio from their discs. But I haven't heard anything about Walmart.

And I don't think they edit content. I don't shop Walmart much either, but I've bought movies there before :dunno:

I've bought numerous movies from Wal Mart (yes, I hate them too, but sometimes I simply refuse to spend $5-$7 more for a movie from somewhere else that's further away than the local WM) and never heard of anything not being there that's wasn't suppose to be. If you're worried about it being an "edited" version like Wal Mart use to and hell, may still do when they sale "clean" versions of music CDs, I don't think they do that. If it's a movie they're not comfortable selling I think they just refuse to sale it in store and possibly online. The movies you're looking at may not be loaded with bonus materiel at that price. I have bought some movies in the past that were stripped down versions of their original releases, but the feature film was the same. There just wasn't any bonus content on the disc.

In some cases Wal Mart has their "exclusive" version which can include anything from bonus content to a toy, poster etc depending on the movie. I buy a lot of the DC Direct to DVD/Blu Ray movies and Target seems to always have the coolest exclusives in my opinion. For example they're the only ones that offer the metal boxes for their DC movies. Once I had a couple I realized I needed them all so they'd match.

That said, there's more than 2 Wrong Turns?!?!? Geez, I had no clue...

Thinking that Walmart prints BluRays that they burn from the edited TNT televised version of a rated R flick, and sells them at the check stand
