Big 3 Upgrade ... Complete! Got the Big 3 Upgrade finished, finally. Install was simple: battery positive to alternator w/ 200amp fuse in-between, ground from fusible-link bracket to ground bolt on firewall, & battery negative to chassis ground. The biggest reason I did this was because the lights would dim when I held the window switches up after they were rolled up (just to very they were up all the way), w/ bass hits it would decrease a little but now it barely drops below 14.2 volts on those hits. The video just represents the windows being rolled-up... [BUCKET]http://s535.photobucket.com/albums/ee355/stadt11/2006GMCSierra/Big3/Sierra_Big3Upgrade.flv[/BUCKET]
how the fuse holder holding up in that position? I have been looking for the perfect spot for mine, but I think that will work perfectly! * edit and where is that ground location in the bottom picture?
Kris, the Big 3 is doing well, I stay at a constant 14v now instead of fluctuating like I had previously. No more dimming lights The fuse holder is holding up nicely, I think that's a perfect spot for it. (I got it from BrightstarCarAudio on eBay). That ground is below the battery tray. To the right of the picture you can see the bolt/screw holding the plastic on the backside of the left tow-hook (hope that gives you a good reference).
