Sunset while looking for a room near Limon, CO:

A few pics from Rocky Mountain National Park :

The GPS wasn't wrong. I was IN (where) a reservoir (should have been) :

That line of darker rocks along the middle of this pictures. That's where the road goes by. The water level should be MUCH closer to that level than it was when I was there.

A shot of the Macan in the bottom of the reservoir.

Driving back out. The way out is that lighter line going up, along the right.

A waterfall along CO 133. I have only seen this one a few times. I guess it's seasonal, based on runoff from the higher elevations.

The view from the parking lot of the hotel in Leadville, CO.

Grabbing some dinner at High Mountain Pies in Leadville. Apparently, the news of my thirst somehow preceded me... LOL
    [IMG]

The 2nd half of the "Mount Massive Cheese Steak Sandwich." Excellent! :)

The next couple are from roaming around CO 92, eventually ending up in Gunnison, CO.

Trying to get to Wuanita Pass, but snow eventually blocked my way.

A few from another trek across CO 92.

Remnants of an old mine near Pitkin, CO.

A "large" pizza at Mario's in Gunnison. (I checked. It ended up being 16". Much larger than most larges I've seen.)

    Leftovers.

A view of the San Juan Mountains from a viewpoint along CO 149, before heading back home.

Back in Texas, not too far from Palo Duro Canyon.

Along the route I took through a section of Palo Duro Canyon.

The car did great, on and "off" road. It did seem happier ON paved surfaces than messing around on dirt & gravel, though. That's to be expected, though. :)

Awesome pics Michael. I would never see anything out west if you didn't post up pics of your adventures.

There are places that are still getting snow as of about a week ago. Got a buddy that sends me pictures of his "front yard" from time to time

Yeah, I just saw some pics posted today from the Pitkin, CO, area (up in the mountains; the valley has thawed well, as far as I can tell) with snow still deeper than the height of fences, gates, etc... :uhoh:
