Ok guys, since I have a regular cab and I'm not looking for a huge amount of base. I think I'm going with this enclosed sub from pioneer. It will fit and not take up all my room and give me all the bump I need.

Amazon.com: Pioneer TS-SWX251 10" Flat Subwoofer with Enclosure 800 Watts: Car Electronics

I don't know a whole lot about subs and amps, besides what I have been reading online. So I am looking at an amp to power this unit. I know it is nominal 200 watts (RMS) and a peak of 800 watts. From what I have been reading it would be best to go with a 2 channel amp and bridge it. I read that mono amps go better with 2 ohms and this one is 4 ohms. Anyone have any suggestions on an amp that would go well with this? I have found a few but I am wondering what amps I should go with. I know you are supposed to match them if you can, but would a 500 or 600 watt amp work?

There is no reason to match brands. You can mix and match all day long.

That sub claims to handle 200 RMS and 800 peak. I'd grab something that pushes 250-350 RMS range and back it down quite a bit, personally.

That said, if you aren't trying to shake people out of bed and truly just want fuller sound, there are some decent all-in-one slim setups like this that will do that for you without having to use even more space for the amp.

I found this amp, not too expensive and I think it would work pretty well, thoughts?

Also I am running a pioneer head unit...

I don't care about brands really, just want to get my money's worth

Also what about speakers? I don't really want to run an amp for the speakers, but any suggestions on any 6x8's that I can just drop in?

I've had a sub before it was stolen, it was a 12in in a pretty good size box, but it took up too much room. I think I'll try and mount the amp under the passenger seat, read it can be put there pretty easily.
