My first post! I need some technical advise. I have a 95 Silverado 5.7 auto 4x4 and recently completed a dash swap. Went with a 97 dash with the passenger air bag removed. Also used the original OBD1 wiring harness that was with my truck. Everything went fine but I cannot get my air bag light to go out. Is this something I can reset or does it need to go to a dealer, etc.?

Welcome to :tmc:

You'll need to take it to the dealer, most likely. There are some prosumer scanners out there that will allow you to do it yourself but they are pricey.

Might want to have the dealer confirm that your driver's bag is actually functional as well.

Make sure you securely connected all the connectors and none of the wires got pinched.

Sent from my overly sofisticated electronic device.

What wiring harness did you use?? If your truck came with dual air bags and you used a single air bag dash and used your harness thats the problem. If your truck came with one air bag and you used the dual airbag harness then you need to find the (Jumper) that tricks the computer into thinking the second air bag is there. You can get it on trucks that came with single air bags. Most of them use the same dual bag harness with a jumper installed. Good luck.
