No, that's not a banana in my pants.
I had to replace my passenger side valve cover gasket today. After I got the valve cover off, I tried to clean all the grease off the outside, and the brown oil buildup off the inside. I tried Carb Cleaner and then Brake Cleaner, and each one was just burning my nose with the fumes. Neither one did much as far as cleaning the grease buildup off. Then I tried some Adam's APC. As soon as I sprayed it on, the grease started literally melting off!! This stuff will clean EVERYTHING I have tried it on so far.
I didn't get any before pics (because I didn't plan on making this thread when I began cleaning it). But I was so pleased with how good it worked, I just had to share my experience with it. Here is the end results of some APC, a small brush, then I sprayed it off with a water hose.
Actually, I did get one before shot, while it was still on the truck, right after I got the ign coils off.
