AC Delco batteries

Do they ALL suck?

Everytime I've needed a battery I've bought the AC Delco because I'm a sucker for dealership-what-came-in-the-truck shit. I've bought like 4.

Well they've done their jobs I guess to an extent, they start up most days, but damn, leave the (factory) radio on for more than 5 minutes with the truck off and click click click!!!

I'm so sick of dealing with these things.

Whats your experiece with them?

I think next battery for the 86 and 01 will be an Optima, the suburban came with a red top and that bitch performs.

I have not had any problem with any of my AC Delco batteries, but I have been told go Optima Red Top and never look back.

Optima = Overrated as ****

Go with the top of the line Advance Auto battery. I have had many of them and they have never let me down.

My personal experience with Delco batteries has been that they suck the big one, and are as reliable as a politician's promise the day after the election. They should have "Me love you long time Joe" stamped on the top of 'em.

That includes experience with them in my personal vehicles and experience with them as the manager of a 3 bay repair shop for six years.

I've never had one last more than 2 years... They don't quite deliver their advertised power at the lower CCA's... The 1000+ ones might be better

Optima is hit or miss... When they DO work, they work good... But the quality control fell through the floor when they started mass producing...

Odyssey makes good shit from what I hear.
