Does anyone here already experienced a motorcycle fitted with ABS brakes? I'm seriously considering to get a small motorycle ASAP and, since I'm likely going to ride in in all weather conditions, it seems like the ABS might worth the higher price.

The cheapest motorcycle fitted with ABS in my country is the Honda XRE 190, but it's fitted only to the front wheel.

The front is the only one you really need to worry about locking up on you. Rear lock up isn't a huge issue.

Is this your first bike?

Indeed. But I'm still quite concerned about the resale value. ABS is scheduled to become mandatory for every new bike sold in Brazil as of 2019, and I'm still not sure if a 2-wheel setup is going to become the standard. I actually wouldn't hold my breath for that, since Honda has political power to push for front-wheel ABS to be allowed at least for the smaller bikes up to 160cc and then keep the rear drum brakes.

I didn't buy it yet, but it's not going to be my first bike.

Probably have better resale value without ABS, to be honest. Less things to go wrong

Sure it's one less thing to go wrong, but only time will tell about resale value. Anyway, recently I found out that ABS is going to become mandatory only for the front wheel.
