Hey guys I just changed out my 93 grill to a 98 and the 98 grille doesn't have mounting tabs at the bottom part of the grill. I just wanted to see how y'all pros do it.
I had one of the guys pick it up for me, it was on Craig's list for $50. The guy didn't give him the filler piece so I guess I'm getting that filler piece.
My brother (may he rest in peace ) used to have a 90 GMC that he ended up swapping over to a 95-98 a Chevy front clip. He did in fact have to replace that bumper filler piece when he did the swap.
The newer filler also did not fit correctly into the bumper either, so he had to do some minor trimming to get it to work. Now I am not sure if it was because if switching it to the newer style or if it was the fact that he switched from GMC to a Chevy clip as to why it didn't fit. But the new filler had to be trimmed on the ends if I remember right.
Sent from my shitty ass iPhone while most likely taking a shit.
I'll have to see when I get it. I'll do a little trimming if needed.
I cut the old one in half (long ways) pretty much to make it fit till I get the right filler.
