i spun 4 con rod berings after losing the oil presure in my camed 5.3

so i looked arround here for an Iron block 6.0 LY6 they were to damn expensive !

the cheapest i can get was a 2008 2500hd LY6 with 11,500 miles for 3850$ thats for a long block only (fuel rails , manifolds, and down to the oil pan) no alternator ,A/C , brackets or pulleys! with a core motor!!

the cleanst on that i drolled all over was a 900miles 2010 L96 wich is a D.O.D LY6, the junk yeard guy wanted 5900 for motor only WITH a core !! and 5350 with out the core

so i took a 600mile trip to UAE , a city called sharjah near Dubai, that has many junk yeard that you can get a great seal from.. 3 days later i landed on 2008 6.0 not none milage , took the heads of the motor looked cleaner than mine when i did the cam swap, rotated the motor , it didnt stuck , so i pulled the triger

he asked for 3700 the first time , broke hes head( as in forced him to sell it for what i have:lol:) got this thing for 2600$ including harness, ECM, brackets, power steering pump , A/C , alternator how great is that!!

    so enough talking
    this is my old motor

if you can see any damage that i messed please point it out

well , i raced a 2010 camry v6, he was doing 120+ when he passed me on the road , 3 weeks ago i think, so i hammerd the gas to see if i can pass hem , when i got next to him a layed off to give him a chance to step on the gas and we raced 130+ i dont know what speed i was driving but in 4th gear i was doing somthing upove 6000rpm-6500rpm for more than a minute untill i gave a 1/4 to 1/3 of a mile , left my foot of the gas, set the crouse control on 100 untill he pased me, raced hem agin, when I took my foot of the gas, the engine lost oil presure and shut down, ididnt start it, took it to my uncles shop, changed the oil pump , started the motor, and heard a loud knock, sounded like a connecting rod thing and it was, so 4 con rods spun the bearings and it ate the crankshaft and con rods , the crank need somthing like -0.040 to gain a smoth surfface agine

    thats it:(

:skull:, hope this one doesnt die though:ohnoes:

More pics of the 5.3 rod bearings. From what I can see, I don't see anything spun.

Center main looks spun. Factory engines are not designed to rev for that long, plus at that speed not much air is flowing throught the front end to cool it down, its just getting pushed out of the way!

Fun while it lasted I bet!
