I watch how they practice and use that to make my picks.
Yep! That's what they're there for!
Not a bad idea.. I guess I need to start paying more attention to practice.. I've tried looking at the #'s, but it's hard to get a gauge off of that, because you can't be sure (just by the #'s) if they were focusing more on race runs or qualifying runs..
I like 1st practice for that reason.
I guess that's a mistake I've made, too.. I usually watch final practice, thinking "they've had time to get them dialed-up, let's see how they're doing."
Early 2nd practice speeds are good but you need to watch to know how they're doing. After that the practice is generally geared towards qualifying.
well my pickes didnt do worth a shit! ecept for harvick
This last couple of weeks, I've been looking at recent results for this season and recent results for drivers at that track, to get a feel for things.. So far, it hasn't helped much.
I think the new spoiler has a good chance of changing that.
I think green-white-checkers-or-wreckers is what screwed me last week.. and this week was just bad luck for good drivers.. Talladega is always a crap-shoot and most short-tracks are too.. We'll see what happens next week.
