Sweet car.. I had an 02 Mustang GT w an SLP loudmouth exhaust for a while.. I miss that crack of the V8 when you punch it.. I love my turbo whistle but I wish I could afford both.. Ill take one in silver when I grad school..
I took the flux capacitor from the Back to the Future Delorean, and instead of time travel based on speed it's reversed for horse power by RPM. I also don't have to buy pricey refills from Lybians
I'm hitting up the dyno soon to see Zippy's #'s. A dude at the shop and I have been talking about it, any time they have removed a bend in the intake tube they pick up decent power, esp in the mid range..and with the Outlaw kit you know of the killer bend in front of the TB due to being built for clutch fans lol. So I got a 4" to 3.75" reducing sleeve..the idea is: throttle body/maf/custom box for K&N panel filter, and draw air from the area between the radiator and upper support...a lot like a F-body intake. Were going to do a run with the Outlaw, and a run with just straight TB-sleeve-MAF to see what it picks up. If it doesn't pick up at least 10/10 at peak I'm out $12 for the sleeve and $ for 2 pulls, and will probably keep the Outlaw on. It should pick up some decent mid range tho. Hopefully it's at 300/300. I still have the drop in K&N from when I first got the truck, so it can be done for cheap, already have someone to fab the box too.
I gotta see that. As goofy as that near 90 degree bend in the outlaw is I can't see it pick up too much more power with that tube a bit less crooked. =-\
The inside of the outlaw is so frickin smooth there can't be too much air resistance? It still has to be 10X better than the stock tube is.
