In need of all the info to change over my trailblazer to a 2008 trailblazer ss. I have the complete donor vehicle which is a 2008 ss trailblazer im going to change all wiring harnesses suspension interior bumpers doors dash motor transmission and rear end. My main concern is do they make fabbed up motor mounts to do this change over. How do I find template for the frame mounts. No opinions just good knowledge and facts lets get this build done

Does the 2003 use the same chassis (frame) as the 2008?

If so, I would remove the 4.2 engine and drivetrain and start comparing the 2008 stuff. Chances are the items you will need for mounting the v-8 in the 2003 chassis will already be on the chassis of the 2008.

I've never done what you're attempting in a Trailblazer but I have swapped a lot of smaller engines out of trucks for larger engines. The beauty of GM is that most of these swaps are relatively easy since the frames are usually built to accept all of their engines.

I havent gotten that far yet its coming in a matter of days the 2003 is the same exact body an frame just consider the ol skool with very few options im in the proces of changing all the interior harness dash column seats console its work but end result well worth it I hope on those mounts no welding but I heard its a good possibility it may be the v8 option wasnt available in 03 not until 04

I would think a 6.0 in a Trailblazer would be pretty damn quick. :D
