I am looking for a quality yet affordable air ride kit for my 2001 Tahoe. I'm going to be leveling it out by dropping the rear but still do have the need for towing things.

Any advice on kits designed for these vehicles? I just hate the sagging look and shitty ride that accompanies.

I tow a 24' pontoon and plan to buy a travel trailer next year as well.

Is it equipped with the heavy duty trailerering package with the aux transmission fluid cooler?

How much tongue weight would you say the toon adds?

Not a lot. It's a big boat but maybe 300lbs. max, I would guess. I'm more concerned about having flexibility in which TT I buy. I plan to buy one a year or two old so it's not as though I'll be able to be overly picky about the weight.

Would these be a possibility? handles loads of 500-1000lbs. Pretty cheap too.

I don't know? I've never done this before but that seems like a reasonable solution for a very reasonable price and with easy installation to boot. I don't really need anything with an on-board compressor or anything (unless that's not much more) so I'm not sure why that wouldn't fit the bill. :dunno:

I was looking at a similarly priced kit at lmctruck.com which is almost idenctical to the Firestone kit in that link. You just run the air lines to wherever you mount the schrader valve to inflate them. Them just inflate them just like a tire. You could either drill a hole in the floor and have the fill valve just inside your back door (for easier fill ups), or mount it under your rear bumper or on your trailer hitch (easier to mount, but You'll have to lean underneath yer truck to fill em up).
