I'm trying to replace the door lock actuator on my 2000 z71 Silverado. I have the door panel off but taking the actuator off and replacing it is a little tricky. Can someone shed some light on how to do. Pictures would help tremendously. Thanks!

It's been a while since I did one. Here is a PDF (actually for door handles) but if you look at page 8, It should show where the two mounting bolts are for the actuator. Once the bolts are out, the rod clip and wiring are easily disconnected. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Hope that helps.

Here is the PDF http://www.tfpusa.com/v4files/tfpusa/instructions.pdf

I'm not sure if the diagram in the pdf is what I have. I think its held on by rivets, but I want to make sure I got everything right before I start drilling away.

Here are some pictures I took. Do I remove all 3 rivets to get the actuator out?

Those will remove the entire latch assembly. I don't think you need to do that to replace the actuator.

It's very likely you will need to drill rivets out, just not those. Look around for the actuator inside the door with a mirror and a light.

Were you able to get your actuator out? I am replacing mine too, and the only bolts I see are the Sike latch too. I don't see any rivets.
