$12k in damage? WTF?

I found this story on the web...

To make it short, a guy put water in the tank of his wife's BMW and supposedly caused $12k worth of damage. I call BS on that. No way that water in the tank will cause that kind of damage.

i would say with bmw's ridiculous pricing on service 12k sounds about right to replace the engine and entire fuel system. even though that is not needed, i bet a good draining and thoroughly cleaning the fuel system it would run just fine

Interesting those cars are pricey to fix so thats prob the going rate bmw stealerships charge as much as they want in my town and people will pay
