I used to work on salvage cars and help fix them to sell them again.
Sometimes the cars get totalled for almost no damage. We had one Neon that was only a few years old at the time that was totalled for a bent radiator support (pulled with a slide hammer), dented hood and a busted radiator...
I really want to keep my truck until 200k or more. Im sick of payments and just want to keep this truck for a long time.
I havent been driving it as much lately due to getting a company truck so its gonna be a while now unlike the past few years where I was putting 15-20k on it a year. Its at...
Sometimes I really wish my truck had a 5 speed. It makes driving more fun.
Other times though its nice to just put it in gear and forget about it.
My previous daily driver had a 5 speed and I kinda miss that. My Mustang came with an auto but I hated the auto so I had a 5 speed put in it and...
The only thing worth missing is the clutch pedal.
Tapes suck, whitewalls dont look good on anything made after the '70's, vinyl tops look dated and dont belong on modern cars and halogen lights are much better than sealed beams.
I wasnt too impressed with the 302 in my '92 Mustang. I later swapped it out for a 347 stroker and it still wasnt all that impressive. It got murdered in a race with a stock '01 ZO6.
Typical Ford seat. You could do what I did to mine, absolutely nothing.
The hole in my seat started small but now its fairly big. I hate seat covers and would much rather look at a hole than a cover.
I bought my truck in 2/09 with 48k and now its got 113,300+ on it. A few weeks ago I put 1000 miles on it in a week.
Normally I drive 17k+ in a year.
I bought my last car new in 5/05 with 19 miles on it and traded it in on the truck with 71k.
Jeep pickups never sold too well in the past so why risk it again? Besides little truck sales are in the toilet these days anyway so theres not a huge market now.
My '06 has the gray interior and the seats stain from just looking at them. I dont even eat in my truck and theyre all stained up, mainly from dripping water on them.
Theres also a huge hole on the edge of my driver's seat.
My friend had a '98 convertible and I swear it seemed quicker than the '92 LX I had with a 347 stroker, atleast on the street.
I had mine a few years after he sold his so we could never race them but my car felt slower.
He thinks his '93 Tempo with a v6 and 5 speed was faster than the GT...
My dad always talks about the cool cars he had before I was born like a '65(?) Impala, '68 GTX and '72 Duster 340 but he's always had boring junk since I was born. He traded the Duster on a new '76 Volare and then traded that on a poop brown '78 Lebaron. I remember the Lebaron. Then he had two...
'96-'98 Mustangs are 215 hp turds. The heads suck.
'99+ have the PI heads and more hp but the car is uglier. I never cared for the looks of the '99-'04's.
