    Wheel Offset Information

The only vehicles with negative offsets these days are trucks, and most of those are positive from the factory. The negative offset is hell on wheel bearings and is poor for aerodynamics, as well as setting up suspension geometries like scrub radius, hence the shift from the OEMs to positive...

    10,200 RPMS!!!

The JTCC cars ran a 2.0L 3SGE motor, which was a TOM's Racing car. They ran in Formula 3, which at the time adhered to FIA regulations I believe.

    10,200 RPMS!!!

Actually the motor is a 1.6L engine. It's a Group A 4AGE 20V (5 Valves per Cyl.) engine used in racing the Levin and Trueno by TRD. They produced 255 PS (~250 HP) and revved out to 11000 RPM. The Formula Atlantic version revs to 12000 RPM+ and makes slightly more power probably, mostly just...

    10,200 RPMS!!!

Sounds awesome. The heads on that thing are ginormous! I wonder if one will fit in my M3, LOL.

    Honda Civic 1/4 mile

You can build a 13 second Civic for about $2500 with the cost of the car. The problem is that many people don't know what they are doing, and spend money on pointless crap. The C5 is going to be more reliable at any speed, but the Civic is a much cheaper alternative. Blow the motor in the Civic...

BMW M3 GTR - Ride Along

That's MPH ... the cars average ~88 MPH during their lap. In 5th gear down that stretch it's doing nearly 300 Kmh.

    Royal Purple having some issues

RP does have one hell of a film strength though. I've seen that for my own eyes. The reps do a simple wet bearing (ball) test when they show off the oil. Mobil 1 outperformed the regular dino oil we had (Castrol GTX), but the RP resisted twice the weight bearing down on the bearing and still...

dyno tuning...what should i ask for

Try to find a Mustang Dyno, they can load the engine. A Dyno Jet applies load via having to accelerate the drum, but it's not the same load you'd get on the street. ESPECIALLY if you are running any forced induction.

2 Cycle Oil In Your Gas Tank

I know rotary guys use pre-mix, and some are religious about it. I don't, however, think it's a great idea for a modern piston engine. Gasoline evaporates at a low temperature, the MMO doesn't. The gasoline is sprayed onto the back of the intake valve to aid in atomization (valve is hot)...

    I relocated my battery today!

4 Gauge is pretty small, you'd probably get better juice flow with a 2 Gauge positive. BMWs have a factory "relocated" battery. It's offset in the passenger side rear to help crossweight.

    Volk TE37 + Chevy

I don't own a truck. I was just messing around in Photoshop. Those wheels can be ordered in a Chevy PCD, but they would be on the order of $700 / ea. and a 6 month wait.

    Volk TE37 + Chevy

That sucker would be 4" tall and have enough hardware on it to look the dog's danglies. I always thought it'd be neat to have a Motorsports truck.

Played around on Photochop. - Volk TE37 - Lowered - Exhaust - Debadged Add a front air dam and a NASCAR style rear spoiler and you got a pretty cool truck.

    GMC Sierra Fuel Mileage Results

Manual cars for the win in the fuel economy dept. I can clutch in and get virtually free mileage on some of those big hills on the way to San Antonio. When the engine is dropping down to idle it cuts off the injectors... so it's like I am running an AFM system. Besides, I have trouble keeping...

    Differential Fluid for my Z71

Make sure your differential doesn't require a limited slip additive, and if it does, that the oil has it added to it already (some do) or you buy some of the additive to put in with the fluid. Pumping gear oil into the differential SUCKS. It's a freaking workout since I had to use the little...

How to shop for an intake

They pull cooler air, but a good airbox design will get you just as cool of air. A shorter tube is generally better for response and higher end harmonics as well.

    Question regarding trans/oil cooling

Another downside to cool oil and fluid temps is that it increases load on the engine. The oil will be more viscous at the cooler temps and will increase parasitic loss on the motor. This will affect your fuel economy. 160 deg. thermostats in my opinion are worthless. They just waste fuel. If...

Chrysler and Nissan call it quits on car, truck sharing

Nissan is one of the largest builders of trucks in the world. They have produced light trucks and heavy diesel trucks (box trucks, etc.) and they are pretty good at those segments. The problem is when you try to find the middle ground in a saturated market with the full size truck, especially...

    I Want LT Headers !

Well, if you replaced the cat with a larger diameter pipe then it is possible to lose torque simply by condensing the flow and the reduction of velocity; and the resulting loss of pulse tuning energy. If you just take a 2.5" catalyst and install a 2.5" pipe then you will not lose any power...

    Alignment Issue..

Caster won't wear the tires, but it can cause pulling. Unless you have a forward or trailing link, you won't be able to adjust caster.

    I Want LT Headers !

It's virtually impossible for you to lose bottom end torque by removing the catalyst with a straight pipe.
