The old Challengers and Plymouth GTX had them too (around '71 from what a quick search turned up). They had been used on some other road racing cars prior to that (ie. Shelby Cobra).

This is how I felt when I tried to tint my windows a while back....the flat side windows went ok, but the curved back windows were a total PITA and looked like crap. I ended up peeling it all off and will pay someone to do it at some point. :lol:

Dave, If you had looked at any of the links listed, you would have found that, although they were not specifically listed for a 97 Silverado, the torque specs for the swaybar end links ranged from 13 to 17 ft/lbs and the insulator clamps ranged from 27 to 37 ft/lbs.....depending on the model...

It almost looks like the stock wheels/tires would be close to rubbing at full lock, I don't think there is much room for upsizing! :dunno:

:withstupid: The Truxedo on my Frontier did the same thing! I live on a dirt road, and the bed usually had about 1/2" of dust in it if I hadn't driven with the cover open or rinsed out the bed for a week or two.

It was probably caused by the drivers airbag (or whatever you call the large empty space between the ears) bouncing of the steering wheel during the repeated, differential destroying impacts. :dunno:

Higher HP and torque than the 96+ Vortec 5.0 v8....it should be a good motor for a base, run-around truck and should mate well with the 6 speed auto! :thumbs: I wonder about the value of cylinder deactivation on a v6 in a fullsize truck though. :dunno:

The shifter will be "shorter" since it is pulled down through the floor, so it should just compress the "accordian" pleats on the bottom of the shift boot more. I really don't think 31's will fit on a stock 2wd, they probably would on a 4wd.

For what you are trying to do, I would think the body lift would work best. Any suspension mods you do (spacers, etc.) will require at least an alignment if not more (shocks, etc.). As far as I know, there are no real issues doing a body lift on a newer Ranger, I have seen some around. How...
