We have a clear that we use at work with the same kit (commercial version). I don't think it is a very good product, it is hard to apply without streaking, it does look really good but it gets looking crappy after a while. I think an automotive clear would definately be the way to do it. Most...
Holy light and antenna batman Bernie, you won't be missed at night. That's for darn sure.
Got my PA hooked up, man is it a riot didn't get to the air horn though.
I will say a back window in a car is a major PITA about 95% of the time. You have to hold the film just right and slide it in there. You can do it yourself, just watch some videos and take your time. I would reccomend the llumar precut films available on ebay and many other sites.
IMO though...
My buddy has a single semi horn hooked up via a 5 gal. propane tank filled with air, then a loop of pex tubing ran in the cab with a valve through the back window. He doesn't run it all the time, but it is great fun for a while and lasts for quite a few bursts.
One night we honked at a drunk...
Yeh, drilling the holes was a bit nerve wracking. But now that they look so good, I don't even think about them anymore. And when we did my dad's truck, he told me to do the drilling because he couldn't:lol:
No Cody, they are almost identical ones from Recon. These have 6 lights in the center...
The older body style (like mine) is supposed to have 5 singles, then they switched to the 3 set-up which I prefer.
Here's a couple more pics. and with my dad's also:
Well I purchased the lights from Catocin off-road, they had the cheapest price for them with the harness. The total for them came to $125 which was much cheaper than the factory units.
So I began by tearing apart the interior. I started by pulling off the pillars. Then I removed the sun...
That sucks, that last one looks pretty darn good.
I too was thinking about either a headlight kit, rubbing compound, or something similar to what Scott posted except a different brand, they have a 3 step process for fixing windshields.
I would like to polish mine up as well, it has some fine scratches in it as well. I talked to rich about ordering a new one, but they were about $50-60. So I thought I could live with it for that much
I'd like to keep them inside the bed rails and with the box I have, the lid covers the whole end of the box, so that wouldn't work. And I know 4' would be better for reception, but I don't want them to look goofy
Hey guys, I got a Cobra HH38 a while back and it came with a roof mount magnetic antenna but it was too tall and I didn't want it on my paint. So I wanted to go with a different set-up with antenna's on the tool box/bed. I did some research and looking and I decided to go with a set of 3'...
I have a little wil Wilson magnet antenna, it has a stainless 3' whip that I'd sell ya if your interested. I'm going to be doing a set of whips on the tool box. Shoot me a PM if your interested.
