The mounts don't cross over to an aftermarket replacement. If you feel like taking the bulb out of the mount ... sure there are other manufactures there. But for just a few bucks each it was worth it for me to buy them from the dealer and not mess with the plastic.

Chrome ... not polished ... can be cleaned up GREAT w/ Blue Job. You can find it at any bike shop but dear lord does it do amazing for chrome on rigs. But don't use it on plastic covered stuff ... it will not do pretty things to it :(
