Just stripped down the diff and we were able to get the 2" piece of axle shaft out of the diff gears. No damage to other gears/teeth or bearing races. Should just be able to replace left hand floating axle and rebuild diff cleanly. Excuse all the goop on the bench, most is dried paint and all...

I wish I had a factory option of taking it out of 4Hi. 8 MPG sucks. But on trails I can get about 17 or so.

Every other oil change I rotate all. Put one of the fronts on the spare rack and rotate the spare into the mix. LR Discos tend to destroy the front tires if not rotated out on a regular basis to to the front end being so heave. I cannot rotate the tires side to side on the MG as they are bias...

I do think it is a new winch because if you look in the "before" pic, the top of the winch isn't visible like in the new pics. Also in the new pics, it looks as if the winch sticks out a bit farther than what the face of the bumper did. :dunno: LEO!!!
