Doing some painting soon: A or B?

In a week or so I'll be painting my grille the PROPER shade of green, and I'll also be painting my door handles and mirror caps. I'm not sure how I want to do the grille, so I figure I'll ask you assholes. All green: Chrome bar: What say you?

Right To Repair laws - What say you?

:werd: Requiring them to give it away for free is absurd, but not releasing it at all is equally absurd; we should have options other than going to the dealership for repairs.

Finally got to shoot Gregg's Suburban (BHB)

So last Tuesday I drove up to Gregg's after work, and took some photos. I've wanted to shoot this truck since I first met Gregg about 5 years ago, and everything finally worked out logistically. This thing is stupid clean, I love it. Gregg's Suburban by Dan Valanzola, on Flickr...

None from the other night, I stopped off there after helping my uncle out with some stuff.

The Chevy Spark is too cool for words

Oh GOD that front end is a disaster. It looks like they just narrowed the front end of the Malibu, and kept the same headlights.

This. I could go with a higher stall, but then it wouldn't be as drivable on the street when I do drive it more in winter, and when I need to tow a buddy's broken car home or haul firewood/mulch I'd have to worry about trans temps... I built this thing to be quick, while still towing better...

How the hell was it that heavy, was it a megacab? There was a guy at the track a couple months ago whose 4 door 2wd Hemi weighed in at 4800.

    Just under 5000 lbs, and it's a 3000 stall.

After two years, the truck finally has new shoes.

If the 4.7 was 2wd, it weighed almost exactly the same as my truck. The S10 probably weighed 1000-1500 lbs. less. Considering how heavy and tall the old tires were, I don't think a 1.79 is too bad. It was over a tenth quicker than the 4.7, which is a pretty significant difference. The truck...

Best was a 1.83 I think? My best ever is a 1.79 (on my 13.16 pass), and on most of my 13.4x runs in the past have been a high 1.8x 60'. Seems like I've picked up better than half a tenth in the 60'.

Yeah DA was around 2300, and I had an extra ~60 lbs of gas. Best time was a 13.44 at 99.29, and corrected for DA it was 13.09. My corrected times used to always be in the 13.3 range, so I picked up a couple tenths, it looks like. With good air this fall, I dont think a 12.8-12.9 is out of the...

 Hey, I've been wearing boots most of the last 2 weeks. The absolute worst thing about work. :D2

Well Umberto's giving me his old lugs when he gets his new wheels, and I'll figure something out for center caps. Not trying to spend much money on them though. I'll probably just paint the hubs black for now. Off to the track after work today, hopefully I return with good news.

On the GMT900 trucks there is an option (N86) that gets you a black 17" alloy spare. I just found 4 of those wheels. Well it's not exactly a track truck, it just doesn't get a ton of miles put on it. It's still my DD in the winter, and it goes on some long ski trips every year. That, and I...

Yeah pretty much everything now with the truck has to do with the track now. Doesn't see a whole lot of street time these days. It actually sat for about 2.5 weeks before I realized that it hadn't been touched.

After two years, the truck finally has new shoes.

I hope! In the summer I usually run around 13.3/13.4, so I don't think 12s will come until September/October. Who knows though, with the effective gear reduction from the smaller tires, and the 12 lbs./corner weight reduction, it might be possible. Racing number, got tired of having to take...

I'm actually shocked at how good they actually look, I just picked them because they're light as hell, and I didn't think they would look bad.
