    Camming the kid's 5.3? No, we got a 6.0 :)

Re: Camming the kid's 5.3 Both seem to be equally good, I'm happy with my Yank, and plenty of guys love their Circle Ds. Circle D seems to be growing pretty quickly, while Yank has been around longer.

    Wheels - Update #844

Re: Wheels - Time for some changes We rarely seem to disagree on this kind of stuff, but we're on completely different wavelengths here. To me, that wheel face looks like something out of a DUB catalog. Just flat black, instead of ghettofabulouschrome.

Finally got an idle clip - Cammed 6.0L

Yeah I didn't want it to sound faster than it was. Nothing is worse than a slow truck that lopes like a drag car. No, but I'm sure you were bored 30 times over watching that video.

Finally got an idle clip - Cammed 6.0L

So after almost 2 years I finally got an idle clip of my truck. For those of you that don't know, it's a 6.0 with a 216/224 .561/.563 114 LSA cam, longtubes, magnaflow cats, into a single 3" Borla XR1 (the 16" long oval case muffler). Excuse my ghetto exhaust hanger. The small amount of lope...

    Wheels - Update #844

Re: Wheels - Time for some changes If you're going to ditch the Jesters, I like this one. And I think either 18s or 20s would look good, though I might be leaning towards 20s, I just think they look right on your truck.

What did you do to your truck today?

Put the MTZs back on before our ski trip. The Revos might be nearing the end of their useful life. :jester: Yes, the quarter WAS necessary...

    Camming the kid's 5.3? No, we got a 6.0 :)

Re: Camming the kid's 5.3 Unless it's Comp. When I was researching cams I called them, and the guy said, "Well, if it's a 4x4, I'd go with the 212/218, nothing bigger." "Why?", I asked him. "I'm planning on running a converter with a 3000 rpm stall speed." He responded with, "A...

    Camming the kid's 5.3? No, we got a 6.0 :)

Re: Camming the kid's 5.3 Cool. Just be careful of the o-ring on the oil pump/pickup tube when you're reinstalling the pump, tons of people pinch the o ring, have no oil pressure, and have to do it all over again.

    Camming the kid's 5.3? No, we got a 6.0 :)

Re: Camming the kid's 5.3 Que? Peep the signature, sir. The 212/218 with a stock converter in a RCSB would be pretty fun. Won't have a whole lot off the line, but that's not a horrible thing as far as traction goes. Any reason you're going to do rod bolts on such a mild/simple setup? Most...

2010 Equinox LED's added to top of headlight

I'm not a fan at all, looks like something a 16 year old would put on a Civic. Plus, the location just doesn't really flow with anything. I generally don't like LED strips on anything though, so I'm probably a bit biased.

    GMT800 Power Steering Pump

That comment was in regard to GMT800 trucks. The GMT900s all have struts and rack and pinion steering (half ton, anyway), but on the GMT800 trucks all 4wd models had the recirculating ball steering box style, I believe it was because of clearance, since the frame wasn't designed to fit the 4wd...

    Dodge Caliber euthanized

Keep in mind I also own (and am happy with the power of) a 1.6L Miata. :D I will guarantee you those weren't 300 thousand "phenomenal" miles though. :D2

    Dodge Caliber euthanized

I'm sorry, but there will never be anything "phenomenal" about the 4.3 in a fullsize truck. :rollin:

    GMT800 Power Steering Pump

I'm guessing it's due to the fact that 2wd has rack and pinion steering, while 4wd still has the old recirculating ball steering box.
