Not 100% sure but I believe the fuel pump gave out as there was no fuel in the filter.....and I had just filled it up at the pump and it wouldn't restart. Luckily as it would turn out a friend of mine was the tow truck operator. Not so luckily was the hordes of people with cell phones taking pics...

Check out www.destroked.com they make conversion kits for this sort of thing, mostly into Fords but I'm sure some of the parts & tech would be of use. Theres also several guys who've done similar swaps on pirate4x4 where you could amass some tips/knowledge.

Looks like it should work, but I'd be worried about tounge weight. Any idea what the pop up trailer weighs?

If I wanted a fuel economic car Id get a VW with a TDI....bout the same milage as prius, plus the ability to still have some self respect while driving it.

These cars are all desirable.....as scrap metal.:jester:

Running 4:10 gears, with tires that measure in at 32" on truck.

Could be a couple things IMO. Too much pressure, throttle position sensor or MAP sensor all sound like likely candidates to cause the issues your explaining.

Am saving to get a 6.0 and do just that(possibly with a turbo kit when house is paid off in 2 years). The 5.3 is just sitting there right now and to swap it for a 6.0 later would be pretty straight forward. Current finances just don't allow it, so I'm working with what I got. Sent via Tapatalk.

A large enough aux. cooler in front of the rad will be better than running through the rad first IMO.

If its big enough I would bypass radiator entirely and run an external in front of the radiator.

Already run an Electric fan when in the mud. The last one kinda died out after being subjected to the mud though:( thats why I'm planning rad relocation to box. Would like Vortec heads but they aren't the easiest/cheapest to come across, even in my friends scrapyard. I am looking for some though...
