CB's work good, but mine is the only truck equipped with one( I use the PA when I NEED to be heard). The handheld FPS radios work pretty good too.

With a good set of M/Ts it would do pretty good. I was only running A/Ts, that I put on for a Zombie Walk here in town. Planning on putting mud tires back on next playtime.

Im running an old Rochester....I believe its the stock one. Doing a filter change helped a bunch and I put half a can of Seafoam into the gas tank to clean system out. Going to do full Seafoam when I change oil here soon.

I've been told they are a pretty good all-around offroad tire but on pavement they wear really fast (<30000kms/18600miles)

Took it mud bogging and trail riding with Dennis and a couple other friends. Dennis should have some vids and Im waiting on vids from friends camera. Its nice to see Dennis up to the bumpers in mud with a 2wd and ripping shit!:thumbs:

Drove it to work, renewed the insurance and insured and registered the mud truck so I don't have to trailer it all the time to go play. It will also give me a spare vehicle/beater for the winter.

Replaced Cap and rotor on ZORV mud truck, me and Dennis( Drperry) tinkered with the timing and the carb( need a bigger hammer), changed fuel filter and overly test drove the snot out of it trying to get it to run right for next weekends mud bogs in Horse Lake....$1000 for 1st place in each...

:rollin: I would roll a diesel for the torque in a tow rig or for possible milage in a DD, but in the mud they just don't generate the wheel speed quickly enough. I've seen lots of tuned diesels try the mud and its still not worth it. They may be able to pull a house down, but in the mud...

Drove my DD to work shop to work on ZORV mud truck, Was having major electrical issues with it and thought the alternator was gone. Turned out the starter's positive lead nut came loose and the main power wire runs to starter...this explains why it would seriously up and die once in the mud...

Waiting on a call back on a 2000 Chev 2wd w/6.0L that was smashed up( mostly sheetmetal on pass side) for $500. :fingersx: Hopefully nobody beats me to it!

It (8.1L)was rated at 345HP and 460/470Ftlbs torque from the factory. I believe it is rated so low to meet emissions laws( don't have those here:thumbs:) but that seems like a realistic loss through the drivetrain.

I should mention Im also looking to put a built 2spd powerglide and a divorced NP205(ACTIVELY SEARCHING FOR) or a drop box behind this engine.....next year may just be used up building instead of bogging but it'll be worth it.
