A neighbor that we bought wifeys newest truck off of has a 1993 GMC that is having some transmission issues. It only wants to upshift if you lift off the throttle, yet will downshift fine. Any ideas what the cause could be?
Its a '94 with an earlier grille. Has almost 500 000kms/310500miles on the body. Engine was replaced several years ago after being drown( I know 3 of the previous owners), trans was rebuilt a year or so ago. Has no problem roasting 35" Toyo M/Ts with only a quick blap of the throttle either...
CV's can reach greater angles than we normally put them to, but if you put anything more than a stock engine at those joints I see carnage within 5000miles with street driving far less with off road use.
SAS is still the best way to go IMHO

Tried to solve the brake issue in the ZORV. Thought it was just air in the lines coupled with a bad gasket. Turns out air is getting forced in from booster and brake fluid is getting out past the worn rubber seals within. So I have to pump the brakes several times to get decent pedal feel...
