What did you do to your truck today?

I dont know. Iam thinking of 20's again with a deep lip and a 33" tire. Or going with a nice 22" rim and 33's. I hate choosing rims, I am almost thinking of buying predators again

What did you do to your truck today?

    First Day Out 2011

If you do this job on a hot sunny day I guarantee you will not need fishing line at all. That black molding comes off VERY easy by just pulling on it. Then use a 3m wheel to remove rest of adhesive. Wash, then wax. Job done.

    First Day Out 2011

Nah you shouldn't need fishing line. I've always just pulled the badges off. Use a hair dryer to get the emblem & adhesive even more warmer.

    First Day Out 2011

Just wait for a nice, hot, sunny wisconsin summer day with the tailgate in direct sunlight. And pull that fugger off. Then remove left over adhesive with 3m wheel or goo gone. Atleast you wont have to pull off chrome rockers like i did :suicide:

    Elliott's REBUILD thread

If the plastic is prepped and painted right you shouldn't have any problems. My mirrors have been painted for a year now with no paint issues. If you paint the textured pieces as they are right now with no prep what so ever, they will flake.

    Elliott's REBUILD thread

No. He is on gmfs and doesn't even have the truck anymore. Plus I wouldn't do a body lift on your truck imo. (which that truck has obviously).

    Elliott's REBUILD thread

Yes that truck I posted is a 1500 with an HD hood, Tahoe Z71 grill shell and colormatched bumper cap, and lower valence to finish the front end off nicely :D

    Elliott's REBUILD thread

Do work son!! I agree with whats been said, but go fully painted mirrors, bumper cap and lower valence. I can't believe nobody has suggested an HD hood? I think an HD hood would look great. If you copy this truck it = WIN!!

    Heavy Chevy is gone???

Just make sure its really what YOU want to do, nothing should be overlooked imo. If you can talk your dad into being a little more patient and continue looking for trucks, patience will pay off. But if you want to re-build yours and make it a project, then DO IT.
