yeah yeah! it's happening soon I promise :) will be getting prices/ordering in the next week, then it's just a matter of gettin a couple warmer days or a shop where I can work. No garage really blows :)
ugh...stuck in one of those loops where i'm driving a bunch of short trips and my truck is stuck in regen. So glad I'll be ordering shortly. Can't wait to never smell that burnt plastic smell as i walk away from the truck again...
It's only been a couple days but so far they ride real nice. It's not fair to compare them to tires that were about worn out, but the traction is much improved from the G2s as well!
Will put my thoughts about these here to keep it separate from the G2s.
It's been freezing rain and sleet all day so this will have to do for a placeholder pic
You can at least get the feeling for how much less pinched the sidewalls are and that they're a bit taller.
The ridge grapplers showed up today and I got them mounted this evening. They look great, and the shop was impressed how easily they balanced. One only required .75 ounces and the max was 2 ounces. as far as fit, there's no rubbing at all so far and I'm not even fully level. I will say there's...
Hope that turns out to be true. Might make sense...called them today and they won't start a trace until the original delivery date has gone by (tonight by 8pm)
Discount Tire Direct. We don't have them around here, but they have a pretty good reputation on the duramax forum, so i gave them a...
It's probably not a good sign when UPS tracking shows an arrival scan in the town the tires originated from three days earlier. How do you lose track of 260 pounds of tires??? Guess I'll be making some calls later.
There's definitely some nice improvements in that list. I know all the whiners on GMT will be disappointed that they can't bitch about the lack of vents in the back now.
Looks I'll be ordering the tires tomorrow. Doing my last minute research before pulling the trigger, I decided to go to the 295/60R20 rather than 305/55R20. Reasons being:
higher load index
$150/set cheaper
slightly more sidewall/less pinched on the rim.
Pics to come! :)
It looks *way* better without that red/back color combo...also...3 liter duramax!
