It is the first 2500, but the problem is one I've dealt with since my '08..."Rancho" chronically under-valves their shocks, and you end up with wheel hop over small irregularities beacause the shock can't control the wheel. I absolutely expect a stiffer ride, and over all it's amazing how well...
So...due to a family emergency, I just got the chance to drive the new rig from NH to Illinois. Put 1100 miles on it yesterday. It was a nice chance to break it in, and get to know it. pulled 18.5 MPG unloaded for the trip with the cruise set at 76MPH, once i cleared the green mountains.
My...
Thanks! I drove both the 6.0 and the Dmax. once I drove the dmax, it was all over. I was able to beat them up pretty good on price though, so I'm happy. :)
This thing rides nicer than my 1500 did. It's *amazing*. Thanks for all the advice, i appreciate it :)
A wheel thread is probably not...
I was hoping you would respond :)
So...define hills. Alaska/Rockies hills? if so, then no. It will be mostly Appalachian nubs out east here. :)
I guess my question for you would be: if you hadn't upgraded to towing a small mansion and if you didn't do any work related towing...if it was...
Cool, the gasser is pretty much where my head (and wallet) is at. Just mostly trying to avoid the "shit i should have gotten the diesel" 9 months from now. The more i look into the 2500s though, the 6L really isn't falling that short of the diesel, until you start towing a LOT.
Also...I...
Hello folks,
So we're pretty much decided on buying a 30 foot toy hauler. GVWR between 9.5 and 10k. This is right at/slightly over the limits of the current rig. I'm not interested in playing the upgrade game with the current truck, so why not buy a new truck too. I'm looking at 2500HDs, and...
not today, but over the last week:
Sierra: new front brakes at 34k miles. pad was sticking on driver's side and killed the outer pad fast.
acadia: new front struts (thanks rock auto!), new shoes (conti contact LX20) and alignment.
It does, and I have it disabled. I can turn mine on and off through the entertainment system. I'm betting there's a way to disable it on your bike too.
Thanks for the info...worked out well that it looked full to me anyway. :)
As far as the fuel dilution, hadn't thought of that...will definitely be conservative with my change interval if that's the case!
Spec actually calls for 8.5 quarts , but it showed full after the 8.
I don't know why, but Direct Injection engines seems to require more oil than regular FI cars. My S4's engine was only 3.0L but it took 7 freakin quarts of oil too.
But yeah...needless to say I'm glad I don't commute...
