Damn nice truck!
Now I'm curious as to what it gets for MPG, but I'm still not a huge fan of the Canyon/Colorado. I more or less want to compare it to a V8 S10.
Crap, the V8 Colorado is rated at the same as my V6 S10.
Yes, there was one. He got tuned a truck before I got there.
Just in case....MOPWR2U, you REALLY need a BlackBearPerformance tune for that puppy ASAP! :pimp:
Man that thing is crammed in there!
I had Justin set both my trucks at 100mph. I'll probably change that on the Z71 once the Whipple is in. :naughty: We'll see what the RPM's do, but I do have 3.42 gears so I should be good for a bit. :D
Fastest I've been:
Z71 = 85mph (didn't even realize it though)
ZR2 = 70mph (the little 4.3L...
Nice!!
I hope tire prices don't go up too much!! :ohnoes: When I last priced the tires I want, it was $800 all said and done (mounting, balancing, no disposal, tax) with a buy 3 get 1 free deal.
:werd: I take it you like the 5spd in your :quote: son's :quote: GMT400.
Why does everyone want the 2dr Tahoe back? I didn't think that did so well, but that just may be because I hardly see them. That GMT800 one looks horrible! The GMT900 looks pretty nice though.
The GMC Cyclone/Typhoon...
I like the idea of jacking it up using boards better than lifting it from above. Might work good if you have 2 jacks.
Regardless of how you do it.....we'll need pics....and don't forget the spoon! :D
:tmc:
Re: Camming the kid's 5.3
That's my excuse! :D
Well, looks like a lot of you guys know cams/converters....when the time comes I'll know where to post! :tmc:
I really need to do both trucks. :(
Should anything be avoided when cleaning the engine bay?
I've seen guys say to put a bag over the alternator and avoid the intake box.
I take it this should be done on a cold engine to avoid damage or do you use so little water that it wouldn't...
Might as well get both sets of lines while I'm at it....someday.
I'm a little confused on how the oil flows. There's 2 lines that go from the engine to the remote, and 2 more lines that I'm guessing go to the radiator/oil cooler. So how does the oil flow between the 3?
I think it already is.
Dennis, do you think this would fit my Z71? Do they sell everything in one "kit" or would I have to buy everything separate? I'd better research on the parts....
Changed oil.
This was the easiest oil change I've ever done!!! I love the remove-mounted oil filter!
Could I get the remote setup for a ZR2 and install it into my Z71?
They use the same filter and I'm pretty sure the filter is in the same location (in relation to the block). If I could, and...
:puke: :chipper: :puke: :chipper: :puke: :chipper: :puke: :chipper: :puke: :chipper:
Well....gonna have to make sure my ZR2 doesn't go anywhere and restore it too!
Damn that thing is UGLY!!! Is that a Nissan?
Re: What were you driving! First and last month of 2011!
I know! The hitch is gone, but the bars are there. That's also why my tailgate is blue (previous-previous owner left it somewhere).
Drove it a whopping 1 mile from my dad's to my mom's.
Drove my mom's G6 65mi round-trip to bring her mom (my grandma) to our house for Christmas dinner.
Re: What were you driving! First and last month of 2011!
Why's that? Could the front drive shaft/T-case be in the way of dropping the tank?
I'm probably gonna pull the bed off anyways when I do the pump. I need to remove some fifth-wheel hitch bars that are bolted to the bed/frame so I'll do...
Wasn't too impressed with them when I saw them at the car show.
Bad replacement for the Neon. Dodge needs to come out with a small, affordable car to compete with the Focus and Cobalt.
Re: What were you driving! First and last month of 2011!
I changed S10's because a 2wd wasn't really practical for winter and I didn't really like that truck much anyways (had some rust holes in it too).
Don't worry, I don't think either truck is going anywhere any time soon.
Why wouldn't it have? (the truck I'm assuming)
I should keep that in mind Jim! Seems I get the same thing.
Drove it. Really thinking about washing it, but I know it will be salty again within a day anyways. Might just have to wash it and let it sit.
