Well, considering I spent $200 on a new Duralast Gold alternator for the Z71 plus the $20 belt, $75 all said and done for the ZR2 is an amazing deal! :thumbs: Drove it to Thanksgiving dinner (to both sides of the family; mom's and dad's) and also saw that gas went down again.

Alternator Upgrade Bought a used AD244 145amp alternator off eBay for $55 with 67k on it. Bought a longer belt at AutoZone (Duralast 975K6). So for $75, I now have a bigger alternator. :thumbs: I'll have to stop by AutoZone and have them test it sometime to see what it can really put out...

That sucks! I've done 2 hard lines full length on a Grand Am once. I'd hate to run them on a truck! Did you have just brake lines blow or did the fuel lines go too?

Drove it to work and filled it up. Got 17.2mpg...still kinda sucks for this truck IMO.

$3.28 at most places, but some have dropped to $3.26 and $3.27. I'm guessing everyone will be at the same price come Monday.

Over thinking it would be fogging the engine....which I'd do if I could figure out how to. We fog our boat (305 4 barrel), but that's done dumping the fogging oil straight into the carb.

Here's what I do.... -place tarp on ground -run Sta-Bil and make sure it gets to the engine, not just the tank -treat the entire tank with Sta-Bil -fill the tank up (leaving a little room for expansion in the spring) -change oil -remove battery (put it on a maintainer once in a while, but not...

Exactly why I HATE taking my truck to a garage/shop. Drove the ZR2 to work and home.

I've been happy with my Volant. Went with them because it was a fully enclosed CAI unlike some of the other intakes. Have you guys tested the cheapo eBay intakes?
