I thought about the hitch myself...it seemed like when he was "tiping" with the ball it would twist to a point then the trailer or vise versa wont let it go any further and keeping it on all 4's.
I think the trailer is more protected than your average trailer with mud tires..:dunno:
wow...good thing he is locked. their mud must be different from the US's mud, he didnt seem to have too hard of a time getting thru it...with a trailer!!
Re: Holy. Crap. Unbelievable Pike's Peak crash
the cage looks like it held up well. as long as your strapped in its like a roller coaster ride except a lot bumpier...and rocks occisionaly say hi to your face
well that sucks...Ive been wanting to hear how its been going to see if it would even be worth building one...but I guess not (btw I want to be able to do like 40 so I can atleast do near the speed limit on the road just outside of my apt)
thats nuts. however Im curious as to how fast some of those cars can go...I know they cant go that fast and their steel wasnt as strong as today so it would just wrinkle up with a small speed collision.
with a dual clutch system you probably wouldnt even feel it unless you really punch it...then it shifts down 4-5 gears . and accelerating wouldnt bee too bad, more of a smoother motion, allows for shifting at lower rpms for more mpgs
hmmmm I might be able to weld a set to the end of my frame horns with some bracing.
my bumper is currently mounted to welded plates on the end of my frame horns, next one I build will use the factory bumper mounts and be a full replacement.
looks good. but..how easy is it to put a 3in wide strap on it? Im now thinking that kind of hook design would be best compared to a solid loop like my ford, but I dont know what the strength of either would be..hopefully enough to yank hard enough and not break stuff haha
heres some more pictures for yall from the f150 forum:
the wheel and tire weighed too much for the tiregate so he had to reinforce it
front end
his skidplate
coil was powder coated
each wheel and tire combo weighs 160 lbs...poor tierods
