    New Ride....and it's not a truck!

I'm not really sure if anyone took a look at my off-site thread, so I'll just whore it up here too. :D 2/16/13 Got the plugs and wires changed last night. A shop my buddy works at let me bring the car in. It was nice to do it inside!! Plus, they had a lift open so I got get the car up in the...

    Chevrolet SS Deemed Inappropriate

:bs: So what about all the SS packaged cars/trucks that GM has made over the years???

    New Ride....and it's not a truck!

I was wondering where the heck you were.....:D I'm hoping (:fingersx:) to pull out the seats, console, and carpet (at least) this weekend. Right now only the front passenger floor is wet. I think, and am praying, that it is only the sunroof drain that has come loose. :(

    New Ride....and it's not a truck!

:rollin: Thanks Brian! I'll see what I can do. Yes, it did. :) No Nick, it isn't. That some Dexron VI. Trans was a little low when I bought it and I didn't want to chance it. It's nice to be back. I'll be back more when work (hopefully) resumes on both trucks. Honest, it's a really...

    New Ride....and it's not a truck!

Thanks. For now, or until I can't justify keeping it, it will be sticking around. I needs intake gaskets this spring. Nice truck!! It's nice to see another GMT400.... (btw, lowered AND LineX???)

    New Ride....and it's not a truck!

Honestly, I'm gonna try to keep this pretty close to stock. The only things I'd do are Black Bear tune, fenderwell intake, and maybe downpipe & cat. This one really needs to stay a DD. This will get maintenance parts obviously, but the Z71 needs to get back to being the project and get...

    New Ride....and it's not a truck!

I've been looking at cars for a few months now. Originally started looking at Cavaliers (2.2L 4cyl), then looked at the 98+ Grand Am/Alero (3.4L V6) (test drove an Alero, but was in worse shape than I wanted), then turned to the 00+ Bonneville. Almost had a 02 Bonneville SE (3.8L V6) that had...

    Please Welcome RockAuto to TMC

Welcome to the site! :tmc: Thank you for your support. I've ordered quite a bit from RockAuto. I bought all my Moog steering components (4 ball joints, tie-rod ends, sway bar bushings and connecting bolts, idler arm, pitman arm) from them for my Silverado. :)

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

Did that to my pass. side last year on my Silverado. :( Luckily, I have spare doors with good mirrors. :D Only difference it that this one is a little more faded from sun/wind. Rinsed off the salt quick.

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

Took the roof rack off the Blazer. It's a pain to brush around these things!!!! I put the bolts back in so hopefully it'll be alright. Wanted to take the trans pan off, but it's snowing. :( I like snow, but now I have something to tinker on and can't. Plus, I'm waiting on a starter for my...

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

It's not a truck Lee, but....... Picked up a 2000 Blazer 4x4 auto. :D Runs great :), but barely moves :(. Basically, it moves in 1 and R, but as soon as there's any heat in the trans, it completely dies. Luckily, it worked lone enough to get it on the dolly. Threw $10 of gas in it...

    Duh Duh Dually!!!

Very nice Gregg! I like the contrast too. Blue interiors don't bother me (have had 2 S10's with it), but I can't stand red.

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

Yesterday.... Washed, clayed, polished, and waxed (of course using Adam's products) the Silverado. It was shinny! :) Then took a few pics. Then parked it and tucked it away for the winter. :crybaby:

2014 Silverado & Sierra to Be Unveiled Dec. 13th

I guess I didn't think it would catch that much. :dunno: I guess I am use to all headlights being even with the grill. It could act like a bowl and catch any and all snow/slop/dirt.

2014 Silverado & Sierra to Be Unveiled Dec. 13th

Did someone say GMT400??? Actually, it looks like there's a flat, clear plastic piece in front of it that's recessed maybe 1/4". I think it would look good and the projectors may or may not be good enough for aftermarket lights. However, if the front end is going to have as much...

    Thinking of a Suburban....

On the note of the Town & Country/Caravan having transmission issues.....uh, it's a Chrysler product....they always seem to have the most issues. I can see myself in a mini van (probably have to be S/C or turbo'd :naughty:) before a Suburban. A mini van would be much easier getting the kids in...

Hendrick called, they want the Equinox back...

Congrats on the upgrade Brian. I'm sure you made the right choice. :) :worthless: (yep, had to get that in there) I sure wish I had dealers sending me letters for my 14yr-old vehicles.....:( :jester:

    First Scratch from Stealership

Co-worker had a similar thing happen to a G6. Dealership had it for a total of 18 days to fix a noise while turning (mechanic road with and heard it once, but then had a hard time replicating it again). He got the car back with a scratch on the top of the fender. The mechanic, who hadn't worked...

You know what....I never got them on last fall/winter. They're on my list of things to get done this summer. I also need to replace my clutch (along with slave and master cylinders), front wheel bearings, and I'd like to replace the fuel pump too. Got a lot of stuff on the ZR2 alone to do. Then...

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

Yep. We're both happy....she's got her little car back and I've got my truck. :D Her mom is happy too. When we were troubleshooting, I unplugged the IAT and forgot to plug it back in. The result was the transmission shifting like there was no torque management at all. I have no idea how...

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

Got the fuel pump changed on my GF's Cavalier. Was easier than I thought it would be. Took 3hrs, but spent 45min trying to find a plug to plug the filler neck inlet on the tank so that when we dropped it it wouldn't spill all over. Had about 6-7gal in it at the time. Now the car runs again...

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

What does the truck need?? (other than washing it) I put it in just to be safe. It's not that expensive anyways. Well, the GF's car has been sitting all week. Won't start. Check everything (injectors for resistance, signal going to the injectors (special testing light), spark, replaced fuel...

Did you get new wheels again after buying back the MotoMetal's??? Where's the fWONking thread already?!?!?!?!?!?! Got my Z71 out of storage yesterday!! :wookie: I think I need to get this old gas out of the tank. I put Sta-Bil in it, but it was hesitating pretty good on initial startup...
