I use the firestone brand for my corolla, WAAAAY better than the crappy stock ones they give you. Traction holds real well and I think on sharp turns I've only ever chirped the tires once. The stock ones chirped every time.
Bumper guy was a flake. I had plans to paint it but looks like everything is getting put on hold until the 2nd of march or sometime around then. Taxes came up :fume:
Paint and fenders are next or upgrading the ignition. Went to start it the other day and it would only crank once, but now it...
damn that's a bummer man, totally get what you mean though. It sucks to have a vehicle that you poured your money into making it just want you wanted it to be and then having that need to sell it because you realize how much you could be saving. That's what I went through last summer.
I miss my...
picked up two spares for the bronco. One had a sidewall leak so it's not gonna work. But the other one fits great. One more spare and I'm set for the road.
Oh and also detailed the corolla
Re: 100,000 Mile Maintenance
let me know if you have questions.
Oh and be sure to invest in some gloves and that orange stuff for cleaning your hands. that gear lube smells horrible and takes hours to get off with soap:tmc:
Hey man, gotta say that your stuff is the shiznit! That shirt you made me is the bomb at fits perfectly. I love that you use Gildan as your clothing provider. Their shirts always fit well and rarely shrink:cheers:
quality stuff man.
Re: 100,000 Mile Maintenance
100k miles was what I read in my manual back when I had my truck. I did mine cause I was pretty sure it had never been done at 114k.
Other stipulations are
If it's leaking
or if its been submerged in water at any point
there was one other one but I can't...
well when it happened it was brand new and news was still circulating on the whole accelerator pedal sticking so I was going to work that angle.
oh and it is governed for 104 but if you hit a down slope just right you can hit that sweet 114 spot:tmc:
even without the hose on the airbox the air is still filtered... right? that's what I'm seeing. and where is the starter solenoid? I thought you mean the whole starter.
working on figuring out what to do to the fenders. debating whether I should by some flares or have some welded on. If I get welded flares it would look better when it gets painted and would prevent dirt from getting to the engine.
but bushwacker extended flares are easy to install.
Why the...
Alright, finally got the bronco running and thought it would be fun to show ya'll what I've done so far.
This is the truck the day I got it
First thing I did was buy a repair manual for it.
Next I got some new tires to replace the crappy egg shaped ones that were on it already.
This is them...
Vacuum canister (charcoal canister), some hoses, a grommet for the gas tank, and about 3 hours worth of labor from my mechanic= $450
The feeling you get when your truck finally passes emissions= priceless.
