I would like to do a poll but I know it will not go over well. A poll on who has had lifter issues and what brand oil and oil change frequency just to see what the results would be. I know oil can't fix poor material quality.
Here is what Rich sent me. This is the latest part number for the lifters. 12698946
Here are the previous numbers.
12571595, 12639516, 12619820, 12645725, 12680871
Yeah, we stay in touch. He has helped me numerous times. When I go visit my mom in PA I try to swing by and see him when I take my mom to the casino close to where he lives.
Let me get up with MS3DALE and see. He would know. I hope they did. I do know when/if mine go, I will be deleting the DFM and converting to E85. Maybe even going with a Pro Charger. It is the least expensive route of super chargers.
AMSOIL just came out with a new line of car care products. I use Adam's products now and going to try out this new line and see how it compares. You can order here, or you can contact me. Also Preferred Customers can save 25% on all products plus other great benefits. You can sign up here or...
Nice. Yes, it is expensive but is the best AMSOIL has and my UOA's show it. I know it is a small group out there with their lifters going out even at low mileage. I'm hoping that using Signature Series it will keep our LS engines healthy. So far all the issues I'm seeing with lifters going...
It really helps in keeping the wheels clean. I ceramic coated the ZR2 wheels with Adam's Advanced Graphene. Hoping it last. So far so good and makes cleaning super easy.
I took my 20" wheel off and got a set of 18's. Went with 285/70-18 Toyo Open Country AT III. I like them. The wheels I got I wasn't pleased with so they are off and for sale and I went with the stock ZR2 wheel. I like the look of these. I'll sell you the wheels I took off. Not sure what...
I did the same thing on mine but put a 2" block in the back. The Trail Boss axles, when set side by side my factory axles, were shorter not longer, which kind of makes sense. The geometry of the suspension, if you look at it. When you move up it pulls the wheels closer not farther away. I was...
I'm cheap and just drive in L9 in manual mode. No AS or DFM. Also my mpg didn't take a hit until I put the Eibach kit on and lager 285/75-18 Toyo's on. Now it is natural for me to get in, pull the gear shift down all the way and select L9.
The ceramic coating is the way to go. I got the Ceramic Pro on mine when I first got it. Now I just keep up with it with Adam's Graphene Ceramic Advance. Easy to do and keep clean.
Yeah, I installed the Eibach Pro 2.0 kit on my 1500, the ride is so much better and doesn't bottom out going over speed bumps. The 18" tires made a difference as well, but the Toyo Open Country ATIII's are louder than I thought they would be. Not bad though, just not quiet like the Michelin...
I get it in gallons. No messing with 8qts. Small break if you order it by the case of gallons. Take note, "small break in price" not much but every little bit helps.
No problem, my 10k UOA will be a while, I don't put but 8k maybe if that on a year. Might be sooner if I take more than my usual trips up to visit mom. I use my Cruze diesel to do most of my AMSOIL account visits since it is better on fuel.
I didn't get any different in mpg with the back cover on. I also get less around 16mpg now for the most part because I'm mixing E85. I put 10 gallons of it in to every fill up. My UOA's are better when I use E85. Can't go any higher or I get a CEL. I know it's all in my head, but I feel I...
