Yesterday 11/24/10 the bearing locked up in my alternator. luckily i had just pulled up to my in-laws house when it happened. It was a duralast gold NEW alternator. Autozone warrantied the alternator and GAVE me a new premium belt (Dayco) since they dont carry the good year gatorback anymore.

Changed engine oil and fillter. 5000 mile drain intervel. Replaced with mobil 1 EP 5w30 and Ea024 filter from Amsoil.

While the 1000 mile cleaning it was the PF1218 totay it was a M1-302 which was replaced by Ea024

well if you only change you oil every 25k like with amsoil its just reassurance that the oil is ok. An oil sample can give you a heads up on a coolant leak not visible because its inside the engine.

Well i got 2 free kits from Blackstone so I'm going to use thier sample bottle. But I found out i can get a pre paid sample kit from Caterpillar with TBN for about 10 cheaper. No need to get a money order and I get results the next day via email.
