I don't think it is necessary unless you were trying to run it at 550rwhp or more. I don't think you are trying to run it on a max hp setting and most people keep their trucks at 450rwhp as a daily. They might bump it up to a hotter tune if needed. But not often.
Jeff,
Do you agree that the back seat had a lot more leg room than your 2007?
Not that you'll ever need to sit back there, just thought I would bring that up!
Dude, I just found out that just about every D-max came with a block heater from the factory. These LGH trucks have it!
It all started when we tore down the 2001 and it was a easy spot with the front clip removed. Started doing some research and my brother said he didn't see his but it was...
Yes, this has been the story for some time now(since 2007 but they were not about to help me with my truck) and I believe it might have been with Rob Coddens(Idahorob)- supported by Adrenaline Truck Performance. I'm just looking from the outside but they aren't getting it like they used to! In...
I would recommend a EFI Live tune then. Normally, a deleted tune is like 10-20hp over stock and will give you the best mileage. You should look into a tune with the 5 position switch, it cost a little more up front but you won't have to reflash your truck every time you want to change your tune...
The SCR/DPF and Urea dosing unit is one complete piece. It can be unbolted and replaced with bolt in delete pipe. Everything can be removed so that if need be, you can re-install factory exhaust components.
Even the Urea reservoir can be removed.
The cleanest of the clean tunes is with...
I wonder if the outcome (criminal charges against Kurt Dusch) would have differed if she went to the police at the end of September instead of 45-60 days later... :dunno:
It's all glued on that I know about. Are there anymore badged than, Duramax emblem on the hood on both sides, 2500hd badge is removable as is the Chevy emblem on the tailgate.
What other badges did yours come with?
I don't see it as a quality issue at all. It wouldn't be there if it wasn't for the fuggin government, epa and environmental rejects. It's part of the EGR and most people remove it anyways!
I personally think the front end of the Ford is worse to look at than the wheels wells of the chevy.
If it makes you feel better, the rumored 2016 2500HD is going to have more HP than the Ford. :jester:
If I was going to talk you out of the Chevy, it would be for the GMC. I think it...
I think it'll do fine!
Here's a 5000lb excavator getting pulled on a 2800 pound trailer by Earl with 400k miles on the clock! Earl has 3.42 gears! :tmc:
