I wonder how many Dodge owners will be pissed over the Titan getting the 5.0 Cummins option and all they get is V6 3.0 EcoDiesel. The Ecodiesel will be extremely capable but if I was in the market for a Ram 1500, I would much rather have the 5.0. You have to wonder if Ram digressing the V8...

I just find it hard to believe that the problem is just too much fuel. But if this is the case, you know what to check. If there was too much fuel, you should be able to pull the fuel pump fuse and get it to fire. Then you will know you are right on that. I personally am inclined to...

Ford had a lot of influence when the Titan was first built. There was a rumor that Nissan wanted to call it the t-150. ha ha. It resembles a f-150/Lincoln truck, a lot. Doesn't really look like a Titan anymore.

Is this a 1st or Second Gen Explorer? Another thing to think about is this might be a closed fuel system with no return lines. I can't remember which generations this would be for but not only is there a FPR on the fuel rail but also a Fuel pressure Dampener that is mounted to the fuel pump...

I just don't see how it could jump timing. It's acting like a bad manufactured cap on the distributor. I tore down Earl when it wouldn't crank, My 96 k1500. He has around 400k on him and I thought the timing chain jumped but it was fine. Ended up being a bad cap. Sent from my XT1254

I could see if it was bad it could be the result of dumping fuel. Also, it could be the crank sensor too. My neighbors Ranger did the same thing, it would crank but no fire.

Is there a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail?
