So at the parking lot on the first night I did this
Then today at home did this
and then with the scanner connected cranked the engine and watched that no RPMs were present.
So I went and got a Haynes manual and found the fuel system and ignition systems will not operate with out the PCM...
I am leaning towards cranks sensor to. I have to do some more looking/working today.
I hope it isn't the cam sensor cause on this car the cam sensor is the distributor bolted right to the back of the head in contact with the cam and that is about a 700-800 dollar part if I remember right.
Found this. Posting it so I will know where it is later.:D
If you disconnect the battery the fault codes are erased so you need to hook it back up and try to start it again. If it won't start then check for new fault codes without disconnecting the battery. Fuse N in the power distribution...
Cool I would appreciate the info.
How should one check for spark, was my method correct?? someone told me stick a screw driver in the boot get it close to the block/ground see if I get a spark then.
Sorry forgot that part, um yes I put a code reader to it and no codes set. For the longest time it has had an issue with "stalling/dieing"
While the daughter is driving and when she comes to a stop the idle falls then the gauges' needles fall, and it dies for a split second comes back on idle...
Last night daughter started said car drove for like 300 feet then just shut off. A near by "mechanic" in the parking lot told her it was the fuel pump. So I show up with a rubber mallet and a flash light.
I crawl under tell her to turn the key to the on position, could not here fuel pump...
First off awesome truck and cool little "blurb into your life" as I always say.
Now more pressing issue is this smilie :jrod: of the guy in the above photo or is it of Adam Savage on Mythbusters. Cause I can not TEll!!!:dunno: I am serious too
Have you been approached by anyone asking about B&M shift kits. If not yet maybe soon I found someone in need of help and sent them your way from afar.
That is one sweet tahoe wish I was the new onwer.
Sham on you for not knowing about the A-team. That show is the shit along with a lot of the other eighties shows!!!
So my abs Light will come on when I first start the truck and stay on until I have come to my first complete stop. then when I release the brake pedal it will come back on. I does this the first few times I brake. If I tap/pump the brakes while driving it will get the light to turn off as well...
cool very cool. I will have to post up some pics of what I am doing with mine.
Thanks for the complement. you have anything you may want PS I'll gladly take a stab at it.
