I myself don't like black wheels, but (to me) I don't consider those black wheels "per say". They have accents.:dunno:
I like them. Personally I like the Spys better, but not a bad swap by any means.
Ok so going to Jeg's and looking at the cross over pipe it's actually a Y pipe and it takes my headers and turns it into a single exhaust ? OR would they just run another Y piece to turn it back in to duals turning it into an X pipe of sorts?
Thanks HT I'll look into them. So the crossover pipe allows for duals, just not strait back duals as in other applications.
I've read reviews(without knowing anyone with first hand knowledge) that Pacesetters vs. Thorleys weren't even close in comparison and the cost...
Ok after taking Ya'lls advice I went back to Autoanything, Jegs etc.
They ONLY show Thorley shorties for a 4X4. Refreshing my memory as to my decision.(I was thinking along the lines of emissions for my choice, but that was only an added factor)...
Ok Jarrod, I just re read this. Is that :quote:legal speak:quote: for go out and buy new cats,O2's etc. as it's :quote:non compliant:quote: to do to street vehicles?:dunno:
Nice write up :jrod:. Where'd you get the link for them from?:dunno:
Glad they work.I think I'll order them this week or next.
This is the first time I'm hearing of this. I am BY NO MEANS an expert on exhaust or performance, but I figured shorties had bigger exhaust tubes then manifolds and while not quite having the flow and added horsepower as long tubes they were a middle of the road compromise.:dunno:
One more...
Thanks. I'll look at it while it's running. It usually quiets down and then stops squealing especially with less moisture in the air. It's annoying and embarrassing. :uhoh:
I usually just crank the stereo and pretend not to notice.:rocker:
I bought the Gates belts as opposed to the...
Bully tailgate lock? Thanks. I knew the other was a Pop N Lock, just not a fan as it doesn't look "factory" and taking out the little piece each time would be a PITA.
I actually bought the hinge(?) for the tailgate and the GM shop manager welded a piece to complete the circle, then...
Yeah I'm NOT expecting the world nor by ANY stretch of the imagination do I think it's top notch. I have a Husky 3/8", but occasionally I come across things that exceed it's max torque of 100lbs.
I'll buy the 1/2" Husky. Just needed something for now.
I have needed a 1/2" torque wrench for some time. I had a buddy who has had his Pittsburgh for years and used it in personal and commercial applications with great success.
I still hesitated as I don't put much stock in Harbor freight for tools like this. I have read countless reviews on this...
Ok so I am REALLY FWONKIN' pissed about my AC tensioner pulley.:fume:
I'm on my 3rd one. The original, then it locked up and broke the belt so I swapped out for a new one and a new main tensioner and BOTH belts. Less then 6 months THE SQUEALING STARTED.:willy:
I replaced it and several...
ESPECIALLY the "rivets" matching the rivets/beadlocks on the rims. I'M FWONKIN' JEALOUS!!!!:( I want to run out and by those rims and that grill for my truck!!!!
I'm looking for a "factory" locking tailgate handle for Chevy GMT800s. I had a link to (I believe) a Denali handle that was a direct swap, but I lost the link and info. It looks like this(at least I didn't lose the pic):
I already know I'm fwonked for a direct swap as I have the Pro-tec...
Yeah the "REAL" Chilton's were HUGE and detailed and like $100-$150. Then they came out with a smaller version for DIYers about $30(ish). NOW they are one step up from the owners manual and $20. IMHO
Thanks again for the heads up Jim.
A good friend of mine makes side money on e-bay...
I'm not a fan of all black rims period. However I think if you re-paint it black you could gold accent it to match your trim.
Oh btw BAD ASS front bumper.:fingertime:
Thanks Jim. Never heard of Helminc. That would be a wise investment..
Yeah Chiltons USED to be the shit. Now it's almost the same as Haynes with a different cover.
It definetly is on both sides.
To add further as to just how stupid I can be sometimes. BOTH my Haynes AND Chiltons shows how to adjust the e-brakes includung the interior adjusting wheels.
The only reason I can think of as to why I posted BEFORE reading either, is because my...
Thanks. I'll put that on the "to do" list for tomorrow.
For some reason I thought it was simultanious to both sides and if it was fwonkin' up on one side it would do the same on the other.:dunno:
I just feel like a :loser: for NOT clarifying the idiot light sooner.
and...
Gotchya. and no intention of an"'illegal" booster at this point.
Thanks. and re reading the specs the Firestiks DO receive the NOAA wavelength.:D
