    GM Truck Reveal Today

I'll say this... overall I like them too. But for a truck where I personally desire a slight (2-3") lift and some beefy tires, the wheel wells are a killer for me. With that..... I am interested in seeing what the 2014 Yukon XL and Suburbans look like. If I get one of those vehicles it'll be...

    GM Truck Reveal Today

If only the Sierra had somewhat more rounded fenders..... :( If I was buying a truck today, i'd be torn between the F150 with the minivan looking front VS the Sierra with the square fenders that probably won't fit a 33" tire without 6" lift I like the Ram but after being in a few, the...

It's time for another wheel thread

Those are what I ran on my Sierra. Looking back at the pictures, I liked those better than the Novakanes I put on

    Are They using that Much?

It's going to be like the 2nd cold war.... who can stockpile the most crude oil. Last country standing with oil will win :paranoid:

    Thinking of a Suburban....

Im leaning towards an older (01-03) burb or yukon xl at this point. Something around 100k miles that was well maintained (per my inspection) and will actually be less than what I owe on the Liberty. Seems like a win-win-win.....

    Thinking of a Suburban....

Interior room, yes. When we went to OBX this year our friends came in their minivan (3 kids). Problem was we were 9 miles up the beach in Corolla (4x4 access only). I had to make 2 trips with the XK to get them and their food/luggage to the house; and there was still stuff we left in the van!

    Thinking of a Suburban....

Yeah a Tahoe is too small for what im looking for. My Commander has adequate cargo space now and can even seat 7 (though theres no interior cargo room when the 3rd row is up). Our trip to OBX this year I had luggage on the roof rack, a huge cooler on a hitch carrier and the interior packed with...

    Thinking of a Suburban....

To get a 2005 suburban for under $10k around here i'm looking at close to ~200k miles. So that's actually not a bad price for a vehicle with 90k on the odo. This may be worth checking out (as long as the visor can be removed!!)...

    Thinking of a Suburban....

Fixed.... Well one thing is certain.... I certainly dont know what im going to do lol. Ill probably keep my eye out for a nice low mileage gmt800 burb. Im in no rush and the value of liberty wont change much in the next year (I dont put a lot of miles on my vehicles)

    Thinking of a Suburban....

Good point about my wheels.... LMAO good thing im not like that with kids! As far as Serena's concerned.... yeah she DEFINITELY does not want a minivan. BUT I gave her somewhat of an ultimatum because she knows how angry she makes me with the way she maintains vehicles. When i went away for a...

    Thinking of a Suburban....

Like I said... that's a non-issue for me. If I get a minivan, its going to be a 3-4 year "loaner" lol ...I'm half tempted to get an even older/beat van for around the $6k range. Make it mechanically sound just so it lasts until one of my kids are out of daycare ($600/month for that one daycare...

    Thinking of a Suburban....

Im not worried about maintenance in the slightest. Im an ex ASE tech and know what im looking for in a vehicle. I've be inside & out just about every truck & minivan on the road. For the age and price i'm looking at, the truck will have twice the mileage and cost more; just an FYI. But...

    Thinking of a Suburban....

I know :( Edit: but I did say "cheaper" suburban now. That link i posted is actually the max of what i'd consider. Realistically id be look at 2005-2006 and around $18k.... which is really only $4k-$5k more than a decent minivan... But still... I'd go crazy trying to take care of a suburban as...

    Thinking of a Suburban....

lol it's a "last resort". On one hand, I can get the minivan and suffer for 3-4 years, save up more money, and then buy a SWEET Suburban once the kids are out of daycare which will free up quite a bit of monthly budget..... OR get a cheaper Suburban now, of which my wife and children are going...

    Thinking of a Suburban....

So within the month I'll finally have the Commander paid off..... and want to get rid of the Liberty. Quick background- traded my beloved Sierra Denali in on the Liberty to cut down on payments since I have kids in daycare. Kids are still in daycare, but with the Commander paid off and...
