Added a whole bunch of toys to the Commander

Took some pics with the lights on. I probably should have used my phone or a crappier camera.... used my Cannon in "auto" mode and it dimmed the hell out of the reflection of the aftermarket lights. So it makes the difference between the stock lights look not as drastic, because the stock lights...

Some finished shots of the wiring.... One thing I mis-judged was how far away the rad hose was... I like having plenty of distance there, but should be good. And some more of the light bar itself:

Added a whole bunch of toys to the Commander

Ok.... all done with the wiring. I ran the wiring through the firewall using an existing grommet: I'm a nut with my wiring harnesses... if it doesn't look factory installed, i didnt do my job right! Ran around the fender to the battery:

Added a whole bunch of toys to the Commander

Added the lights: And some factory quality wiring (i used weatherproof disconnects for all of the lights and also the loom-to-car connection... so everything can be quick disconnected for service) I just need to get some relays (they were sold out!!!) and a 15/16th...

Added a whole bunch of toys to the Commander

Only had to drill 2 new holes in the Matrix. I used the existing license plate holes for the center support. Materials to start: Cut a piece of L-Bracket the same width as the license plate: You'll notice in the previous picture that I put the bolts in from the back of the...

Well... Rob decided to be a nice guy and welcome me to the forum today. He requested that I post something about myself. Being the nice guy that I am... I decided to comply :jester: Just installed some neat accessories on the jeep. Heavy duty front skid plate, 4XGuard Brush Guard with 2"...

    Help picking tires

I put the Hankook Dynapro ATMs on my wifes Liberty and we really like them. Look very aggressive, great traction and very quiet. Only had them on for a few months so can't speak to the treadwear... but they have good ratings. And they're affordable. Sorry, the only pictures I have of them...

    Hitch Hauler Recommendations

Yeah around here you'd get written up for that if you do something else to warrant getting stopped.... and even then you'll likely just get a warning if you're polite.

    Hitch Hauler Recommendations

I plan on steadying it out with some shims. Tighten up the tolerance in the hitch keeps it much more sturdy. I don't plan on carrying more than 100, may 200lbs max. And I'm also going to balance out the weight. I see a lot of people with these With a loaded cooler all the way on one side and...

Yeah technically I could get written up when I have my bike rack on there too. I think this falls into the category where ill take my chances. I know the risks though.

    Nick.... you're too much!!

You didn't know that Nick's a wizard? Hell, he has orders show up at my house 2 hours after I order them... as if they shipped BEFORE i placed the order :ohnoes::paranoid: Was playing with it a bit last night... its a neat camera. I already ordered a class 10 16 GB card for it and the sport...

I did not :( I don't normally drink during the week.... but my wife surprised me with some bday gifts; a Kodak Zx3 HD sports camera and a few Fosters'. First thing i thought was "i gotta use my mug!" (2nd thing i thought was "that camera is awesome!")

    Hitch Hauler Recommendations

Yeah I definitely want a steel one. Also want a fold up to get it out of the way for parking lots.... the commander has a surprisingly high hitch on it, to the point that I need the same drop hitch I used on my 8" lifted silverado.... so I'm not really worried about being rear ended (more...
