Hey guys, some of you may not realize that you can update the software on your PXAMG or uPAC device. I just updated my PXAMG to the latest version, 817b, and it seems PAC has finally corrected most of the problems I was having with it. So far I noticed:

12 gauge is overkill for most people's subwoofers. FFS, the 20-amp circuits in your house are wired with 12 gauge wire, you do not need wire that large to power a 6-1/2" speaker.
Motorized face plates are becoming less and less popular. Sure it's cool, but it's completely useless and is just another thing that could stop working.
Go with one of the three I mentioned then. You'll see what you've been missing.
My problem with Sony headunits isn't their quality, most of the Sony headunits I've seen are problem-free. My beef with Sony headunits is their usually shitty ergonomics, poor bang-for-the-buck, etc.

Well, the GMT900 trucks are still kinda ugly.
Nijna edit incoming!!
The dash is built on it's own frame, so it's mostly isolated from the cab except for the three screws where the defroster vent is. My dash is cracking there, but it also has a big crack developing above the tach, where there shouldn't be any tension from the cab.
It's probably just UV-rays...
